TransEd, the consortium building the Valley Line LRT, is holding a series of open houses in order to provide residents with construction updates, and to have the opportunity to have your questions answered by engineers and construction managers. Holyrood residents are invited to attend either the Strathearn open house on Thursday, April 20th, or at Bonnie Doon on Saturday, April 29.

Stantec and Regency Developments have submitted a rezoning application for the Holyrood Gardens site to the city. The application is for 1,200 units in three towers (two 14-story towers on 93 Ave and one 20-story tower on the southwest corner of the site) with 8-story podiums, and four 4-story low-rise buildings. Small-scale retail is shown along 93 Ave., and greenspace is shown between the development and the rest of the Holyrood neighbourhood. Onsite parking is primarily underground.
The draft text of the proposed DC2, which also includes some site plans in the appendices, can be read here.
The city has set up a website to keep residents informed on its status: edmonton.ca/HolyroodGardensRezoning
Questions and feedback can be directed to the planner assigned to the project, and to our Ward 8 Councillor.
We will continue to provide information on our website as it becomes available, and notices and updates will be provided via Facebook, Twitter, and our email mailing list.
Those wishing to be engaged with the process and looking for guidance can contact our Director-at-Large of Civics & Development, Dave Sutherland, who can be reached at civics@holyroodcommunity.org.
Many thanks to our ice maker, Dennis MacDonald.
