Your Holyrood Board of Directors
We are looking for YOU to help us make Holyrood awesome! We are currently seeking more volunteers for our board. If you want to see Holyrood grow, maybe you’d like to get involved as the Holyrood Community Garden? Or maybe you want to see Holyrood stretch and flow…why not give our board position of Director of Sports & Fitness a go and help us all stay active! Are you out on the ice every chance you get? How about volunteering to be our rink coordinator? There are so many ways you can contribute to make our community a great place to live, we’d love to meet you and find out how you can help! Please email Chris at president@holyroodcommunity.org for more information.
Reach out to us via social media, the list here, or check out the email list posted in every issue of South East Voice, to reach out and contact us. We are always looking for more volunteers, whether you have an hour a month or 2 days a week, we would love your help!
Land Acknowledgement
The Holyrood Community League acknowledges the traditional land on which we reside, is in Treaty Six Territory. We would like to thank the diverse Indigenous Peoples whose ancestors’ footsteps have marked this territory for centuries, such as nêhiyaw (Nay-hee-yow) / Cree, Dene (Deh-neyh), Anishinaabe (Ah-nish-in-ah-bay) / Saulteaux (So-toe), Nakota Isga (Na-koh-tah ee-ska) / Nakota Sioux (Na-koh-tah sue), and Niitsitapi (Nit-si-tahp-ee) / Blackfoot peoples. We also acknowledge this as the Métis’ (May-tee) homeland and the home of one of the largest communities of Inuit south of the 60th parallel. It is a welcoming place for all peoples who come from around the world to share Edmonton as a home. Together we call upon all of our collective, honoured traditions and spirits to work in building a great city for today and future generations.
