Donor Recognition Public Art Project

We’re so excited about the completion of our spray park and naturalized play area (bike bumps) and our new playground in 2010!

When seeking donations from the community to build the above projects, the community league promised a donor recognition element was to be displayed at the playground listing all the names involved (approximately 200 names).

We would like to use a mural or some form of public art to display the names instead of a traditional plaque style. The project will be displayed on the west side of the Holyrood Community League hall.

Rink Attendants Wanted

We need help to keep our rink shack open and the ice clear all winter! Consider volunteering for a regular shift; 4 hour shifts are available on weeknights and weekends.

No special skills or ice maintenance is involved. While this is a volunteer position, there will be some perks and benefits as a thank-you.

New Soccer Co-Director Needed!

We’re looking for a new Soccer Co-Director; this is a fun opportunity to get involved in the community!

Responsibilities include:

– Attend monthly meetings at the southeast soccer centre with all communities

– plan and organize outdoor registration in your own community

– organize and utilize volunteers for various events, tournaments, registration

– keep coaches well informed of upcoming events, training

– organize coaches, equipment and teams

– manage a budget

– fundraise

– answer emails

– inform the community on soccer enrolment & events

– work with the program’s director and soccer co-director
